Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates:

Gov. Kay Ivey announced a stay-at-home order on April 3, 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Picnics and outside food are allowed in all areas of the Zoo with the exception of the Overlook Cafe. Guests and visitors may have picnic lunches and snacks at the various shelters, grassy areas, benches, tent areas, and playground area.

Guests may not bring into the Zoo:

  • Plastic cup lids and/or straws
  • Glass containers
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Cooking devices
  • Balloons

We ask all guests to not bring these items into the Zoo for the protection of our animals. All areas must be cleaned after usage to keep our Zoo as clean as you found it.
