New admission entry and gift shop construction begins Monday, June 16.
ZOO ENTRY: During the construction phase of the NEW ADMISSIONS & GIFT SHOP COMPLEX, all guests may enter and exit the Zoo at the Mann Museum. We will have a temporary admissions office and gift shop located by and in the Museum.
PARKING: Parking will also be in the Mann Museum parking lot. Should overflow parking be needed, guests are asked to park in the old parking lot by the ball fields and walk over to the Museum to enter the Zoo.

Zoo / Museum Hours
The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum are open year round, seven (7) days per week with the exception of
-- Thanksgiving Day,
-- Christmas Day (December 25),
Note: The Zoo opens at 5:30pm Christmas Night for Christmas Lights Festival
-- and New Years Day (January 1).
Zoo and Museum hours
The Montgomery Zoo is open daily at 9:30am - 4:30pm. The last entry / admission tickets are sold at 3:30pm daily, 4pm for Montgomery Zoo members. We ask everyone to exit the Zoo by 4:30pm.
The Zoo Gift Shop is open daily 9:30am - 4:30pm daily. Shoppers not required purchase zoo admission in order to shop at the Zoo Gift Shop. All shoppers are welcome.
The Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is open daily 9:30am - 4:30pm. The last admission to the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is at 4pm. We ask everyone to exit the Zoo by 4:30pm.
Overlook Cafe concessions hours: The Overlook Cafe is open:

PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE
-- Navigation note: when guests click the link above, you will be taken to a calendar,
select the date of your visit and purchase accordingly.
-- Check in: All guests purchasing tickets online will need to check-in at the Zoo's
admission office to obtain daily admission wristbands and any ride/attraction tickets
purchased.
-- Military and AAA discounts will be confirmed at check-in, please make sure to
bring your military ID and AAA membership cards.
-- Refunds: no refunds will be provided for online purchases unless the Zoo is forced to
close due to inclement weather. If you cannot visit the Zoo on the day you purchased
tickets, you may use them for another daytime visit.

NEW GIRAFFE ENCOUNTER HOURS AND POLICY: In an effort to limit daily encounters, Giraffe Encounter tickets will no longer be sold online and with group reservations. Giraffe Encounter tickets will only be sold at the Giraffe Encounter Station on the day of your visit, effective April 10, 2023.

SCHOOL GROUP ADMISSION FEES
(with a group of 20 or more paying admissions, advanced reservations required):
- Students (3-12 years old): $12.50
- Adults (13+ years old): $16
- Toddlers (2 years old and younger): FREE
- Teachers: 1 teacher FREE for every 15 paying students
- Parents: In order to receive the discount, parents must to be included with the school reservation. If parents are not included, they will have to pay the REGULAR admission price for entry.

Membership admission: In order to use your Montgomery Zoo membership to gain entry to the Zoo/Museum for regular daytime admission (and qualified nighttime events, like Christmas Lights Festival), the specified, adult members listed on the membership must have their Montgomery Zoo-issued membership card along with a valid government-issued photo identification. If you have lost, misplaced, do not have, or have not received your membership cards, you must provide a valid government-issued photo identification to use your membership to gain entry to the Zoo/Museum for regular daytime admission (and qualified nighttime events, like Christmas Lights Festival). No exceptions. If you have lost your membership card, please call (334) 625-4905 for a replacement card. Fees may apply.
Guest Passes: Guest passes are NOT intended to be used for admission to any special event; including nighttime events. No one will be able to use a GUEST PASS for admission to any special or nighttime event; only the people listed on the membership will be provided admission. Guest passes must be present for admission (one guest pass per entry). Entry/admission will not be allowed without the guest pass (one guest pass per entry) being present.

Montgomery Zoo Rides and Attractions
Daily keeper talks: schedules posted as guests enter the Zoo
Giraffe Encounter Post: $3 per person for Montgomery Zoo members, $4 for non-members, guests 2 years and younger are FREE. All guests entering the encounter must pay an admission fee. Open daily, 10am - 11:30am and 1pm-3pm, effective April 5, 2024.
Waters of the World: FREE entry with paid zoo admission. Enjoy an animal encounter of the wet kind. As part of guests' Zoo admission, you have the opportunity to tour through Waters of the World enjoying an assortment of freshwater fish, turtles, and water plant life. Waters of the World exhibit is located by the Mann Museum. Open daily, 10:30am - 12pm and 1:30pm - 3pm, effective June 16, 2025.
Train Ride: $3 per person for Montgomery Zoo members, $4 for non-members, riders 2 years and younger are FREE. Open daily, 9:30am-4pm
NOTICE: The Train Ride is temporarily closed until further notice due to mechanical issues. Parts have been ordered to make the correct repairs. Effective August 23, 2025.
Zoofari Skylift Adventure Ride: $5 per person for Montgomery Zoo members, $6 for non-members. All riders must be at least 32 inches tall to ride with an adult. Riders must be at least 42 inches to ride alone. Open daily 10am - 4pm, pending weather conditions. December Christmas Lights Festival hours: 12pm (noon) to close.
NOTE: All ride and attractions hours are subject to change without notice due to weather, routine maintenance, and/or animal husbandry.
Stroller and Wheelchair Rentals
All stroller and wheelchair rentals are based on a first-come, first serve basis. Strollers and wheelchairs may not be reserved.
Wheelchair Rentals: The Montgomery Zoo is handicap accessible. In addition, wheelchairs are available for rental at the Zoofari Gift Shop.

-- Electric Wheelchairs (ECV): $25* (Weight limit: 325lbs)
Stroller Rentals: Stroller rentals are available at the Main Gate Gift Shop. Strollers are available on a first come, first serve basis.

ScooterPals: Large electric scooters animal themed, available for rental. Weight and age limitations. Riders must be at least 18 years and 36 inches tall old to rent, limit 2 riders per ScooterPal, combined weight limit 450lbs.
-- Rental fee: $5 for check out, + .35 cents per minute for rental*.
-- Available for rental with credit/debit card only.
ScooterPals offers a unique and fun way to get around the Zoo. Stop by the Zoo’s admission booth to reserve your favorite Scooter Pal.
Rules and Regulations
Driver must be at least 18 years or older.
Two riders only are allowed when following rider guidelines of two adults (18 or older) or one adult and one child. (Due to safety issues, we cannot allow one adult with two children riders.)
All riders must be more than 36 inches in height and combined rider weight not to exceed 450 lbs.
Any persons operating ECV rentals shall thoroughly review all provided safety instructions.
Equipment shall be returned to return location unless arrangements have been made directly with Rolling Hills Zoo staff.
ScooterPals rentals are first come, first serve.
A $5 initial fee to start the ride and then $.35 per minute until ride is ended at return location.
A $25 temporary credit pre-authorization will be placed with the reservation. The temporary hold is the amount we authorized to ensure there are funds to complete your purchase.
Wheelchair, stroller, and ScooterPal rental prices effective March 25, 2022.
*Rental taxes will be applied.
Sensory Bags and Aids
The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is equipped with sensory bags filled headphones, fidget toys, and weighed lap pads for guests suffering with sensory processing disorders. These bags can be checked out FREE OF CHARGE at the Zoo's Main Admission Entry / Gift Shop and at the Mann Museum. Also, there are quiet zones and headphone zones located throughout the Zoo. Look for the signs. Our goal is to make the Zoo and Museum a friendlier place for those individuals suffering with Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD); such as Autism, PTSD, Parkinson's Disease, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and many others.
- Sensory bags can be checked out at the Main Zoo Gift Shop and Mann Museum
- There is NO CHARGE for the use.
- We do ask that you provide a driver's license or government-issued ID as a deposit.
- We also ask that you return the sensory bag with all its contents to the place you obtained it so others may use it in the future.
Zoo policies
Firearm and weapon policy: No firearms and/or weapons of any sort are allowed on City of Montgomery Zoo property. Signs are posted at each entrance.
NO SMOKING or VAPING is allowed on City of Montgomery Zoo property, including inside the park or outside in the parking lots.
General guest item policies: for safety of our animals, guests, and staff
-- No plastic lids or straws, for the safety of the animals
-- No glass containers of any sort, for the safety of guests and animals
-- No alcoholic beverages
-- No cooking devices
-- No balloons of any sort, for the safety of the animals
-- No bicycles, tricycles, hover boards, skate boards, or scooters
-- No pets (certified service animals are allowed)
Respect animals: Treat the animals with respect and do not feed them. Please do not yell, tap on the glass, poke or prod, or throw things into the enclosures.
Respect boundaries: Do not cross any fences or barriers, or climb on railings.
Supervise children: Children should be closely monitored at all times.
Trash disposal: Properly dispose of all trash.
Failure to abide by the rules may result in ejection from the park and/or criminal penalties.
