The Montgomery Zoo hosts four fundraisers per year.
Zoo Weekend
Held typically the first weekend of April, the Zoo has been presenting this annual fundraiser for over 35 years. Zoo is converted to a carnival-like environment with live entertainment, games, rides, concessions and animals from around the world. Everyone can enjoy the many activities, fantastic food and have fun together at an affordable price. It is also an excellent opportunity to take advantage of discounted memberships.
Zoobilation
This fall evening event is typically held in September or October and hosted by the Montgomery Area Zoological Society. This adult-only annual fundraiser is one of the must-attend social events of the season. Enjoy an evening of luxury dinning, live music, dancing under the stars, and try your luck out with the silent and live auctions. All proceeds are contributed to the Zoo’s special projects fund. Past Zoobilations have built the African elephant exhibit, the North American River Otter habitat, the Alligator and Crocodile exhibit and the new Sky Lift project.
ZooBoo
It’s freaky. It’s ghostly, wild and fun! The Montgomery Zoo presents a safe alternative to Halloween. Held the last three weekends (Thursday through Sunday ) of October, ZooBoo provides guests with a fun-filled evening of games, treats, and costumed characters, animal presentations, the traditional horror of a haunted hay ride throughout the Zoo and for the faint of heart or the little kiddies, the Pumpkin Pull (traditional fall festive hay ride) is a great alternative.
Christmas Lights Festival
The Montgomery Zoo’s Christmas Lights Festival is a holiday and family tradition imbedded deep into the River Region and Montgomery communities. Opening the first Thursday in December, guests have the opportunity to leisurely stroll about the Zoo gazing at the thousands of Christmas lights illuminate the Montgomery Zoo annually. Shapes of animals, Christmas themes and music fill the Zoo with awe and wonder. Climb aboard the Winterland Express for a brisk train to delight the soul and eyes with visions of the wonderful holiday season. Enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, gifts and pictures with Santa nightly.
